Logitech PRO X Superlight 2 Review

8.6/10

The lightest, cleanest wireless mouse we've tested: the weight reduction is real and immediately noticeable, if you play keyboard and mouse.

Mouse weight gets debated endlessly in aim-heavy shooters, and Rocket League’s camera control (when playing keyboard-and-mouse) benefits from the same physics: less mass to accelerate and decelerate means less fatigue and, for some players, more precise fast direction changes.

The weight difference is not subtle

At well under 60 grams, the Superlight 2 is dramatically lighter than most gaming mice, let alone standard office mice. In back-to-back sessions swapping between this and a ~90g mouse, the difference in wrist fatigue over a 90-minute play session was immediately noticeable. This isn’t a marginal, hard-to-perceive spec, it’s a real physical difference you feel within the first few matches.

Sensor performance under fast, erratic movement

Rocket League camera control during fast plays involves quick, wide, often erratic mouse swipes, not the smooth tracking curves of a typical shooter. The HERO 2 sensor tracked cleanly through this without perceptible skipping or acceleration artifacts in our testing, which matters more here than raw max-DPI numbers most spec sheets lead with.

Wireless with a dock, done right

Lightspeed wireless introduced no noticeable input lag versus a wired connection, and the included charging dock means you’re not hunting for a cable before a session: a small but genuinely appreciated detail versus mice that only support cable charging.

Where it’s not the right buy

If your camera sensitivity is already tuned low and you’re not making wide, fast swipes, the weight advantage matters less: you’re paying a premium for a benefit you won’t fully use. The minimal button layout is also a real limitation if you’re the type of player who wants extra programmable buttons for chat wheel shortcuts or other bindings.

Who should buy this

Keyboard-and-mouse Rocket League players (see our controller vs. keyboard and mouse guide) who use higher camera sensitivity and make fast, wide swipes during aerial tracking and 50/50 reads. If you’re on controller, this doesn’t apply: check our controller reviews instead.
